Each of the eleven tracks on that album was quieter than the last, a completely confounding notion to me when I only thought the louder the better, the crazier the better. It was the first time something so apparently modest was so alarmingly arresting. Each repeated listen giving way to new confounding subtlety and nuance.

Birds And Water, 4 by Ben Owen, released 05 November 1. 2. The fourth entry in Ben Owen's "Birds and Water" series of recordings. As with "Birds and Water, 1" (NTR), these two sidelong electronic drones reflect Owen’s typically rigorous compositional choices. They display remarkably disparate, rich textures and are extremely immersive, especially when played.

Cody Yantis. Arvada, Colorado. Instrumental, improvisational, and often string-based, the works of Cody Yantis tend to reside in the margins between tonality and noise. Experiences and ideas of environment provide consistent motivations as Yantis explores what David Teague has called "people suiting posture to place." A member of Saguache and Tilth, he also writes and works in visual media.
